Is the nuclear family actually a biblical model, or did we invent it in the 1950s and slap a Bible verse on it?
Sermons constantly treat the husband-wife-two-kids household as the God-ordained blueprint for human flourishing — but the Bible is full of polygamists, extended clan households, celibate apostles, and communal early churches that don't look anything like a suburban cul-de-sac. Is the 'traditional family' truly what Scripture teaches, or have we baptized a mid-century American cultural ideal and called it holy? Pick a side and defend it.
