Is hell really eternal conscious torment forever, or does God eventually just snuff the wicked out of existence?
The traditional view says the unsaved suffer consciously in hell for all eternity. Annihilationists say the wicked are ultimately destroyed — ceasing to exist — while others go full universalist and say everyone gets reconciled eventually. These aren't small differences: they change everything about how we preach the gospel, who God is, and what justice even means. Pick a side and defend it.
