Is God actually male — or have Christians been projecting a gender onto the infinite for two thousand years?
Jesus called God 'Father,' but the Bible also describes God with female imagery — a mother comforting her child, a woman searching for a lost coin, a hen gathering her chicks. So is 'He' actually the right pronoun for the Creator of the universe, or have we been dressing an infinite God in very human, very male clothes for so long that we forgot it was a costume? Pick a side and defend it.
