Did Satan fall from heaven before Genesis 1 — or did we invent an entire backstory the Bible never actually tells?
Most Christians grow up with a fully-formed story: Lucifer was a glorious angel, he got proud, God cast him out, and that's why evil exists. But crack open your Bible and try to find that story told plainly — Isaiah 14, Ezekiel 28, Luke 10, Revelation 12 — none of them are obviously about Satan's primordial fall. So did we stitch together a theology from misread poetry and apocalyptic imagery? Or is the backstory real and the skeptics are just being pedantic? Pick a side.
