Did Jesus teach unconditional forgiveness for everyone — or have we turned 'forgive as God forgave you' into a doctrine that protects abusers?
Churches tell abuse survivors, betrayed spouses, and the wronged to 'forgive and move on' — sometimes in the same breath as telling them to stay in the relationship. But is that actually what Jesus commanded? Does the Bible demand we release every offender unconditionally, or have we weaponized forgiveness to keep victims quiet and offenders comfortable? Pick a side and defend it.
