Is repentance actually required for salvation — or did we add a condition Jesus never clearly demanded?
John 3:16 says 'believe' and you're saved. Acts 2:38 says repent AND be baptized. Some theologians say repentance is built into real faith. Others say we've quietly turned a free gift into a transaction with God. Which is it — does salvation cost you your sin, or is the moment you make it cost something the moment it stops being grace? Pick a side.
