Did Jesus ever actually claim to be God — or did the church invent His divinity after He died?
Jesus says 'the Father is greater than I' (John 14:28), calls Himself the 'Son of God' rather than God outright, and in Mark's Gospel appears to reject the title 'good' because only God is good. But then there's John 8:58, John 10:30, and Thomas calling Him 'My Lord and my God.' Did Jesus claim divinity in His own words — or did the early church read Nicene theology backward into the Gospels? Pick a side and defend it.
